Prophecy: As The Virgin Gave Birth, So the Bride Gives Birth Part 1

ho we are and what we produce for God's glory is very important to our God. It's downright precious to Him for many reasons. This 'producing' or birthing, is our legacy. It isn't a legacy we will hand down to our living children after we die, but rather this legacy is a legacy for eternity. All Heaven will know who you are by what you've birthed (or produced) for His glory. Father isn't so concerned about all the 'doing' as much as He is about the 'who' we become as a result of birthing! Is that confusing to you? Don't let it confuse you. This birthing is His heart at work in His children. He delights to be in union with them to bring His glory to this world.

God Ties Old Testament & New Testament Prophecy Together

This writing contains the backstory to the recent message of His heart. In it, we will see together how God ties together Old Testament Prophecy and joins it with the age we are now living in. The virgin gave birth to the Son of promise (Jesus), and now the Bride will give birth to her promises through Jesus in prayer. (Today) This is the beginning of the unbelievable unfolding of His loving heart for you, His Bride.

Entry of a path through a grape vine orchard. It has vines growing over it and the picture is of the observer positioned to walk through it and under it. The scripture of John 15:1-2 TPT is attached: "I am a true sprouting vine, and the farmer who tends the vine is my Father. He cares for the branches connected to me by lifting and propping up the fruitless branches and pruning every fruitful branch to yield a greater harvest."

I have noticed throughout this prophetic journey with God that He loves to pour out knowledge or wisdom a little at a time to me. Maybe He does this with everyone, I don't know, but I have noticed it consistently with me. When this happens, an entire concept begins to emerge in my mind. Not all at once but little by little until one day, He gives me an actual prophetic word. It is for this reason that I explain some things in this post prior to the actual word the Lord gave me under this title.

Many are Birthing Dreams Now

A little over a year ago, I wrote a post about birthing the promises of God. Praying the Promises: How to Become the Bridegroom’s Promise Land (openheaven-ministries.com). In this post, I mentioned how to pray for things that you know are God’s will for you to be brought forth into reality. I explained why it was called birthing and the importance of praying something ‘in’ and how it can be done. All of this was in keeping with utilizing God’s ‘yes’ already mentioned in various promises in His Word.

Many people in the Bride of Christ are doing this very thing right now. Many have been patiently and faithfully interceding for a dream that was dreamed with the Lord. Some for a few years now, but many for much more than that. As they encountered the Lord in the secret place, they dreamed together with Him and He sowed seeds or promises within their hearts.

The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere. The fragrance of their flowers whispers, “There is change in the air.” Arise, my love, my beautiful companion, and run with me to the higher place. For now is the time to arise and come away with me. For you are my dove, hidden in the split-open rock.” SOS 2:13-14 TPT

Babies Mean New Beginnings

Anytime I see or hear about a baby in a dream or see a vision with one in it, I know there is a new beginning in the life of the person dreaming or seeing it. This may be a new beginning that is planned, starting, still maturing, or God is actively bringing forth in that person’s life. (Acts 7:5 17:19-21, Isaiah 7:14-15) These “babies” that individuals are “birthing” are promises and new beginnings that God (and we) want to see come to reality.

How does this Begin?

At the beginning of this process, God will dream with us. As we encounter Him in the secret place, He then sows a dream in our hearts as a seed. This dream is something that you desire to do, have, or be to give to others. This dream would utilize your gifts for the Kingdom. This is also a dream the Father would like to see you move in for His glory. Together, then, you will take the promises in the word and apply them to the dream seed sown. This is done through praying the Word of God or 'the promises' over this seed. (It is yes and amen!) This seed then matures and is born when the appointed season comes forth!

A Fruitful Branch

According to the Bible, the heart is like soil for seeds. It is the very seat of our emotions, passions, and our drive to do everything. There is much to say about soil here, but it will be another post altogether. But know God sows these dreams as a seed in the soil of our hearts because you are motivated there. Everything you do is connected to the heart. Whether you achieve your dreams or not is directly connected to your heart. Do you see how important it is to have a clean heart? Much like a fruit tree ripening fruit or like a pregnancy must gestate for a season, it awaits its day to start maturing and ripening on the branch.

Green grapes on the vine with leaves. Text attached: “ You didn’t choose me, but I’ve chosen and commissioned you to go into the world to bear fruit. And your fruit will last, because whatever you ask of my Father, for my sake, he will give it to you!” John 15:16 TPT

As the Bride of Christ produces spiritual fruit (in this same way, by birthing through prayer) She is like a fruitful branch of the Vine, which is our King Jesus. There are many references to a fruitful vine in scripture found all over the Bible. John 15:5 is a good example. Here, Jesus says that He is the Vine that is alive and growing, and we, (the Church) are the Branches joined to Him. John 15:5 TPT:

“I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches. As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from me, you are powerless.”
John 15:5 TPT

Vital Union with Jesus

As you can see, from looking at John 15:5, we now see that Jesus is the nourishing Vine, and the Church is the branches that bear glorious fruit. The Lord delights in fruit because all the fruit we produce as a branch gives Him glory, reaping eternal rewards.

This fruit is precious to Him because it’s like a melody that rings within His ears for each piece produced. For He knows His people can only produce that luscious fruit in vital union with Himself. This brings Him great joy! Living in this beautiful place, flourishing in Him bountifully, we mirror our amazing Creator, being fed and nourished by Christ, the Vine.

Our Faithful Nurturing Vine

If we use a picture of The Bridegroom King from the Book of Song of Solomon, we will see Christ as the devoted Bridegroom, faithfully watching over His Bride as she bears fruit. He lovingly nourishes all the branches, in connection to Him, He cherishes them, caring for them, and tending to them as His own body so she can focus on bringing forth abundant fruit for the Kingdom. It isn’t only about producing fruit, though. He cares about the branches too, and their growth in Him. He mentions that the Father Himself is the Vinedresser and will prune branches if they aren’t producing. In this way, they will have another chance to produce again and even more...

God will also nurture branches if they are in between producing fruit. He is a faithful Vine. He brings life and all good and beautiful things to the branches as a part of His own body. What a glorious picture of love and devotion from the Vine to the Branches, and also from the Branches to the Vine. For only the connected branches live in devotion to the Vine. Song of Solomon 2:11-13 NLT:

“Look, the winter is past, and the rains are over and gone. The flowers are springing up, the season of singing birds has come, and the cooing of turtledoves fills the air. The fig trees are forming young fruit, and the fragrant grapevines are blossoming. Rise up, my darling! Come away with me, my fair one!”
Song of Solomon 2:11-13 NLT

A Startling Finding: Prophecy: Virgin Gives Birth, Bride Gives Birth

At the time of the writing of the previous post I mentioned earlier, I found something quite interesting that I had no way to share in that post fully. I am sharing this now because, as I prepared to write this word, the Lord brought it back to my remembrance. Like a flower bud opens up as time goes on when it has matured to do so, so do God’s words in the appointed time and season for release. This is immensely profound.

God Echoes His Intentions Through the Ages

In the process of putting all of this together, I also discovered that God does things on repeat. He confirms Himself. I discovered that God enjoys echoing things in prophecy as well. He loves to foreshadow things to come. Oh, He won’t necessarily give us the full picture up front, but I think He loves to give us just enough to whet our appetite for what’s coming, or to give us some sort of pattern to look for. All of this because we know what happened in the past, in the Old Testament. He loves to engage with us that way if we are paying attention. Our God is so creative and created our own imaginations to create like His does: through the spoken word. (Proverbs 18:21)

The Sign: The Son of Promise Will be Born

As I was researching this, I found a place in all of this where God repeated Himself in order to once again echo His intention in the coming ages. (Now). I couldn’t believe what I’d stumbled across. In Isaiah 7:13-14, we read about the prophet Isaiah as he was speaking to King Ahaz, engaged in a difficult predicament in a time of war. King

Picture of Mary the mother of Jesus holding baby Jesus with husband Joseph to her side

Ahaz needed to trust the Lord for the end result of his situation. In this discussion, God speaks to Ahaz through Isaiah and invites him to ask for a sign from Him to help him put his faith in God. This sign would allow Ahaz to have faith to believe in what the Lord told him would happen in this season of war. In this passage, Ahaz turns God down, but God still gave it through Isaiah:

“Then Isaiah said, “Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of humans? Will you try the patience of my God also? Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. He will be eating curds (Yogurt) and honey when he knows enough to reject the wrong (yogurt) and choose the right, (honey) for before the boy knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right, the land of the two kings you dread will be laid waste.” (Emphasis mine)
Isaiah 7:13-16

Two Interesting Prophetic Parallels

In these passages, I noticed a parallel that the Holy Spirit seemed to breathe on. Two things caught my eye of the prophecy of Jesus being born here:

  1.  Jesus was born of a virgin. His Fathering came from God Himself, via the Holy Spirit.

  2.  The mentioning of the child knowing right and wrong with honey and yogurt. Strange thing to say, but its meaning was also profound to me once I looked into it more.

Virgin Gives Birth, Bride Gives Birth

First, as discussed earlier, when the Bride and Jesus dream together in deep communion and prayer, God implants the “seed” or dream within her heart. The Holy Spirit is the one who creates the inspiration for the seed. It is exactly like the immaculate conception (virgin birth) of Jesus to Mary, but this time, the sowing of ‘seed’ takes place in the heart. We are virgins, as the Bride of Christ, because Jesus makes us sinless from His sacrifice for our sins. We, like Mary, the Mother of Jesus, live in submission to our King. Just as Mary said when Jesus’ birth announcement came to her—

“Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.”
Luke 1:38 AMP

 — we also say the same as the Lord matures this new beginning within our hearts. As we stay within the Lord’s Presence and submit to God, we experience refining to our character, mindsets, and behavior. Without this, the new beginning cannot be sustained once born. It can be uncomfortable in the refining, but it is a necessary part of the process, just as a newly pregnant mother makes adjustments in her life for a new baby.

Picture of new buds of tiny green grapes starting to grow on the vine. In the background is the grape orchard, brown dirt and other vines.

This ‘pregnancy’ must mature within us just as a real pregnancy does. As it matures, it is eventually ‘birthed’ via prayer and/or travail (sometimes trials help bring it to pass) as it becomes reality. Similarly, this birthing mirrors an actual labor and delivery because sometimes before we see the promise, we feel stretched, and we feel pain, or even difficulty. All of this is to help bring it forth, yes, but it is also to help us be prepared to care for the new beginning when it arrives. All of this seems strange, but it is the reality of what God expects us to go through and birth (i.e. Bridal birth) as the Bride of Christ. This process can be repeated for the same individuals or for many individuals in the Bride of Christ. It really depends on the amount of submission of the person to God. It is clear to me now, that the prophecy: virgin gives birth, Bride gives birth was and is a real fulfillment of New Testament prophecy.

Knowing Good & Evil is the Bread of the Promised Land

Second, the mentioning of the yogurt and the honey was an odd thing for the Holy Spirit to highlight to me. However, as I researched into it a bit, I noticed this was also a similarity of what the Bride is doing right now as well. Thinking back to some of the other prophetic words the Lord has given me, I understand the Bride is a warrior. She is learning to war with God’s Word, all the while birthing dreams through the promises.

Knowing right (honey) and wrong (yogurt) in the Spirit has been a dietary staple in the Bride’s diet in this season, especially. Our faithful Bridegroom has trained up a valiant Bride. The warfare has been intense, but discernment has been on the menu for the Bride and she is arising in newfound victory!

A terra cotta bowl of yogurt with a circular rings of honey and a spoon on a table.

When I looked further into this idea of yogurt and honey, I found a couple more things. The whole idea of curds and honey is symbolism of the promised land! I found Jesus Himself made a very eye-opening statement to the woman at the well in John 4. I never noticed it before. In verses 32-34, He spoke of a meal that was His vital necessity that no one knows about. Jesus just had His encounter with the woman at the well and offered her living water. She believed Jesus to be the Messiah and ran off to tell everyone in town! About that time, the disciples walk up with food for Jesus to eat. They urge Him to eat what they brought Him. Jesus replies:

“I have food to eat of which you do not know.” Therefore, the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?” Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.“
John 4:32-34 AMP

One can only gather that from Jesus' recent encounter with the woman at the well, that this was His food, to do the will of His Father. This brought Him great delight and fed His soul like honey. Physical food didn't satisfy or fulfill at all like doing the will of His Father did for Him! Shouldn't it be the same for us as well?

A close up picture of Jesus with his eye shut in prayer over the bread and wine. He is holding a wine glass with purple wine in his right hand and bread is seen at the bottom of the picture. The background is red primitive brick with a wooden door way to the side. He is dressed in Biblical clothing.

Dreams With God Will Mirror Jesus’ Mission

We all should know, as Christians, what Jesus’ mission was here on earth. In case you need a refresher, here’s a prophetic refresher from the book of Isaiah. Jesus went on to repeat this same passage in Luke 4 in the New Testament. In this text, he stood up and read from the scroll of Isaiah, with many listening to Him all around Him in the synagogue. He told them that ‘today this scripture is fulfilled within your listening’:

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion—to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.”
Isaiah 61:1-3 ESV

Jesus, the Fulfillment of the Promises of God

Jesus’ mission was to destroy the works of Satan, free captives, preach the good news of favor, bring comfort, and tell everyone that He was the Savior they had been looking for! He is the promised Savior that would redeem Israel and all humanity. Listen carefully here: As the Son of promise, He fed on the promises Himself. He had to know the promises of the Father because He came to fulfill them all.

The promises in the Word were Jesus’ necessary bread, his nourishment for His soul. He WAS the Bread of Life, but within those Promises was His Father’s will. He understood the difference between the curds (yogurt = bad/evil) and the honey (good/promises or Word of God). Jesus was so skilled at determining good from evil that He discerned it where others didn’t even see an issue. He feasted on the promises in order to fulfill them.  This is wisdom and keen discernment.

My question to all of us is this: If the Son of God learned how to tell the difference between good and evil by feasting on the promises in God’s Word, shouldn’t we, as well?

Picture of numerous white blooms of a flowering branch of a tree. Yellow centers of the flowers are seen as well as numerous green stems coming from the branch.

Blooms of Glory

As we discuss blooming and producing fruit for the Lord, I can’t help but think of the Glory of God. Anytime I have ever heard about the Glory of God manifesting on earth, it is usually presented symbolically in the Word of God as light, as flowers, clouds, or fire. All of those symbols are symbols that also describe Jesus:

  • Flower/s = Flowers of the field, Rose of Sharon, (SOS 2:1; Isaiah 65:10, Matthew 6:28-29, Isaiah 28:4 [there are many])

  • Cloud/s = (2 Chron 5:14; Exodus 40:34; 1 Kings 8:11 [there are many].)

  • Fire/flame = As the Bridegroom King in SOS or being a consuming fire in Revelation (Deuteronomy 5:24; Ex 3:2-3; Ex 24:17; Is 4:5; SOS 8:6-7 [there are many.])

  • Light / Heavens = He is the Light of the World & the Mount of Transfiguration in the Gospels (2 Cor 4:6; John 1:14, Heb 1:3, Is 60:1-2; John 8:12 [There are many])

Jesus Himself is the ‘Son of Promise’ (Acts 13:23) with the name of Immanuel, (Matthew 1:23) which means, ‘God with us'. Wow! Jesus was a promise conceived and birthed in the heart of God. He was then birthed into the world through a virgin and given to the world as a gift for all humanity! As I looked into this, I couldn’t ignore what I was seeing. There were just too many similarities to pass on this. I kept searching to make sense of what the Lord was showing me.

God Tied it all Together Beautifully

If all of this is true, then I could conclude several things that would blow my mind:

  •   The virgin that bore Jesus is like us, as the virgin Bride of Christ, also bearing our promises today with the living Promises of His Word.

  •  Both have been ‘Fathered’ by the Holy Spirit. One was an actual pregnancy which bore the Glory of God in the flesh, the Son of Promise Himself. The other is the Bride of Christ, who is bearing her promises through prayer and the Promises of God.

  • These promises coming to maturity will manifest the Glory of God in the world! It will bring Holy Spirit fire, light, and blooming of promises (Glory) all around.

  • The Bride of Christ will be a living fulfillment of prophecy echoed from the ages! The Bride will birth and produce her offspring, but she, Herself, also, is fruit unto God!

All of these things were pointing to God displaying His glory for all people to see. Just as the Virgin birth was a wonder in the time it occurred, so will all the birthing in the Bride be a wonder to the present age! We will talk of it throughout eternity!

Your Fruit as a Wedding Gift for the King

When I noticed this at first, my brain didn't want to believe it. However, the more I looked at it, the more it made sense. It meant, like other prophetic words I received, that God once again was echoing and confirming His words of promise. He likes to do things in parallels and repeats so that we can stand back and marvel at the perfect way He tied all the loose ends together. What He did in the Old Testament, he is doing in the Bride in the New Testament! He has lovingly joined the Bride to Jesus, our Bridegroom King, and the Son of Promise Himself in a truly magnificent way.

Multiple wedding gift packages stacked on a table side by side with pink bows and white roses on top. Golden tablecloth.

We will know Him (on earth intimately in prayer) even though we have never met Him. When we are called home, we will see Christ as He is. We will be a part of a wedding ceremony! What a gift to bring to Him—the fruit from your heart that brings Him delight like no other. Jesus is a fiery intercessor at His heart and has prayed for you always! What a beautiful merging of His interceding heart of love with our fruit, birthed through intercession! What bliss to Him!

Conclusion

How precious to know that we sought our Bridegroom in our lifetimes, then when we finally see Him in Heaven, we have tested history with Him already! We seek Him here on earth so that we may know Him in Heaven. I don’t know about you, but I want to know my King before I get to Heaven.

I don’t want to live for myself here in life and wait to know Jesus when I get to Heaven. All of us will seek to run into the arms of our Best Friend that we already know. When we get to Heaven, we will marry Him then. If you don’t know Him personally and experientially, why would you want to marry Him? Why wouldn’t we want to know Him now, deeply?

Oh, my friend, if this does not describe you, you are missing out on so very much. Father delights in what you bring to earth, just like He delights in Jesus. Jesus is fruit Himself, and you, as well as what you birth, is also fruit of your devotion to Christ. I believe it will be greatly rewarded when we get to Heaven one day. There are never any regrets of knowing our Savior deeply and serving Him now.

Are you birthing a promise today? Don’t give up! Are you encountering Jesus in the secret place regularly? If not, you can see through past teachings of mine that encountering and hearing Jesus is not an elusive thing. These teachings will help you encounter Jesus so you can birth your own promises with Him in the secret place. He is waiting for you to do so today! He is such a good God and delights in all of His children. Stay tuned for the rest of this word as it appears. You won’t want to miss what Jesus has to say to you as His Bride in the coming days!

Final Thoughts

The Bride is in the season of birthing right now. It will be impossible to avoid seeing these new beginnings happening all over the earth in the coming days! This is just the beginning of what He’s pouring out for His people. With what’s written and discovered in Old Testament Prophecy and what is being spoken to the prophets in this hour is breathtaking. Prepare your hearts to receive. He is preparing His Church to know Him in greater measures than She has ever known through prayer. He is preparing us to set our hearts on fire!
