I Trembled at His Words
As I woke up one day in December, I instantly met the Lord. I was quickly ushered into His Presence which was rare for me. Father seemed to be eager to share something with me. The previous night was spent in prayer with Him and worship late into the wee hours of the morning. I slept and when I awoke, He had a word for me that was not typical for Him, yet I know Him. This word WAS different. He began by pointing me to Amos 3 and inside this chapter, I began to tremble at His words. He gave me grace to hear and trusted me with the information I am about to share with you. I didn't know at that moment, but He intended to unfold a decree that would rush the fear of the Lord into my heart, but also testify of His righteous judgement upon nations.
"Hear this word that the Lord has spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt: “I have known [chosen, cared for, and loved] only you of all the families of the earth; Therefore, I shall punish you for all your wickedness.” Amos 3:1-2 AMP
I came back to Him from reading this passage and I began to visibly shake and quake from my core. My hands and legs began to move uncontrollably. He was almost muttering under His breath. He was angry at a sort of treachery done against Him from His own house. He mentioned the name “Jimmy” which means ‘supplanter”. (AKA, double crosser). (Read Amos 3 here) and it talks about testifying against the house of Jacob. The name Jimmy comes from the name Jacob.
We are His Dear Children, but He is Holy
One thing I have learned from walking with the Lord the way I have is that He loves to give nicknames. Those that He is endeared to, He gives pet names. Sometimes, they are the same, sometimes, they change based on experiences or situations! Everything He does is done with great meaning and purpose. So, when He mentioned "Jimmy", I knew this person was dear to Him. However, like any loving parent, He does what He must to bring about the best in those that are His own.
Why Was God Angry?
In the passage above, Israel had used their wealth and power to oppress and steal from others. They also participated in idolatry upon the altars of God. God was inviting other nations to see the sin of Israel so they would also see the judgment that He was going to bring Israel. God would deal with Israel, but also those surrounding her because they came in and plundered Israel in this time.
Explaining the Reasoning
Next, He showed me a Hebrew letter Vav. Hebrew letters have Biblical significance just in their own right, not even counting when they are formed into actual words. In this case, the Lord showed me this letter because it represents Christ. The nail. It also represents the Word of God. This letter can be in a contraction form and actually transform the tense of words. (Past, future, or present).
The Nail
So, the reason He showed me this letter in this situation, I believe, was to show me His decision about this sin that was not entirely dealt with in the past history of Israel. It was something, in His mind, that pertained to right now instead of past history. Since the letter Vav can change the tense of a word in contraction, God is now wanting to judge this sin, just like the letter Vav can move tenses of words from past, present, and future.
This letter also represents revelation sent forth. (Just like Jesus is the Word made flesh.) He was giving witness to His own words by doubly sending it forth. Jews always validated the Truth by the Torah and by the testimony of two witnesses in the Bible days. This was as if open (revealed) revelation was sent for me to see in the testimony of two witnesses: Himself and the Word.
Water, Spirit, Torah, & the Word
As I continued to stay in God's Presence, I listened more. He told me to war in prayer for them. He began to give me revelation of His thoughts on the matter. His thoughts of transformation. This was both open Prophetic revelation knowledge (Something that revealed in His Word) and also closed revelation knowledge. (Something I wouldn't know unless He told me.) He validated that to me in another Hebrew letter, the Mem, or letter M. (Open and closed Mem).
For reference sake, the Mem is a letter that represents water. Water, to Christians, it represents the Spirit. In Hebrew, it represents the Torah.
This is another Hebrew letter that can be shown in two different ways to communicate again, two witnesses. His double testimony was this: Israel is and was loved, lifted high, and protected by Him. Now, He was revealing powerful words of His wrath and judgment upon them to me. (His words, not mine).
The lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken [to the prophets]! Who can but prophesy?" Amos 3:8 AMP
God's Righteous Judgement of Israel
Next, He began to unfold what His plan was. He began by mentioning the word Turkey. After discerning quite a bit, I deducted that He was NOT meaning a symbolic form of this word. He was indeed meaning the country of Turkey. From the scripture above, Turkey would have been the Assyrians.
Assyrians ended up invading and conquering Israel in history to plunder them. This happened about 20 years after the prophet Amos wrote the prophecy in the book of Amos. In verses 13-15 of the Book of Amos chapter 3, God mentions he will punish Israel as well as these other nations. (Turkey) because of what took place. It also says that Israel will apparently be judged, whether that is happening now (While they are at war,) or not.
Prophetic Word: Revival & Possible Judgement of Turkey
He then also told me that He was planning to bring an outpouring of His glory and Spirit upon the nation of Turkey. He wanted to give them a chance to repent and come to Him, allowing them to change their inner man. If after the beginning of this year and after 6-8 weeks afterward, if that didn’t happen, He would judge them.
After He spoke those words to me, I had a vision of a brick wall that was half torn down and half built. This represents the walls of human made protection and false sense of security they had. It also signified their rebellion against God, pride of altars, self-made glory.
The broken and crumbling side of this wall, implied His intent to judge, reveal the heart, and bring forth their vulnerability. He was planning to bring all this upon them if they didn’t repent because they plundered Israel in their history. He said, "Words alone do not bring forth the cleansing and judgment that He intended upon them if they do not repent."
As we read this prophetic word of revival & judgement of Turkey, let us always remember that God is a good God. His hope is always that people come to saving grace and He is giving these individuals a chance to do so.
God's Declaration of Turkey
In all of this, it appeared that He also gave me the prophetic outcome of this scenario as well. There were some that would indeed receive Christ! Halleluiah! However, these
would be a small remnant compared to the original size of this nation. As a result, their influence would become weak, insignificant, and humble. This would occur at just the right time and just the right place within the nation.
Through this word, God wished for me to sound an alarm. (His Words) The time has
come. This is the eve of Turkey's revival. His power, shaking, and voice will be seen and heard. He wants the Church to war for this remnant. He asks that we be praying for mindsets and hearts to be radically changed.
“For [God does not overlook sin and] the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who in their wickedness suppress and stifle the truth...” Romans 1:18 AMP
Conclusion
Let’s pray fervently for those in the countries of Turkey and in Israel! Just like the Azusa Street Revival outpouring created acts of God after that outpouring, it appears that there will be an act of God in this case as well. He mentioned the word ‘earthquake’. I am not sure if this is figurative or literal. It could be either.
Praying restoration of hearts and revelation light to flood eyes of understanding for all those in Turkey. Restoration, changed hearts, and repentance is His #1 agenda. His love for these nations is great! Our God seeks hearts, but He is just, and He is righteous! Pray, pray, pray!
For Americans, missionaries, and believers, we speak the protection and favor of God upon them, in Jesus Name! May the Name of the Lord be forever praised for His righteous judgments prevail and shall go forth in His perfect timing!
"This is the plan [of God] decided for the whole earth [regarded as conquered and put under tribute by Assyria]; and this is the hand [of God] that is stretched out over all the nations. For the Lord of hosts has decided and planned, and who can annul it? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?” Isaiah 14:26-27 AMP
"Now to the King of the ages [eternal], immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen." 1 Timothy 1:17 AMP
We serve a holy God that wants fiery friends. That just means that we must be holy as He is. It is a labor of love and when you love someone it doesn't seem like work. If you aren't there yet, there is hope! Once you encounter the Living God in the secret place you will see for yourself the magnificence and love that you've always wanted to know in Him. You will find His Person, which in my opinion, is joy incarnate. I encourage you today to find Him in the secret place by establishing intimacy. I found Him by journaling. It is an experience that I have never regretted, and it completely changed my life. Now, you can find Him the way I did as well. May God bless your journey to find Him!
